Grange Takes on Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge

During the month of October, Chef Oliver has agreed to take part in this year’s Vegan Chef Challenge. Grange, along with other local restaurants, will be featuring a vegan prix fixe dinner menu. Try out our menu as well as the other participating restaurants and vote for your favorite! For more information, visit the Sacramento Vegan Challenge website and we’ll see you in October!

Appetizer: Baby Beet Panzanella / corn bread / pickled turnips / watercress / spiced walnuts / beet-sherry vinaigrette 13

Entrée: Chickpea Croquettes / nante carrots / cumin / charred brocoli rabe / jimmy nardello pepper romesco 21

Dessert: Almond Milk Panna Cotta / apple cider granola / vanilla poached secal pear 9

    Sounds delish, and I’ll probably give it a go, but I’m guessing most folks won’t be able to swing the prices. I want to try as many of the challenge restaurants as possible, but I think yours is one of the most expensive. Thanks for participating, in any case!

    It is great to see some of the nicer resturants participating! I find that I often am unable to go out to a really nice dinner in Sacramento because they chefs just don’t understand vegan and I end up with some terrible tofu and pasta dish. This sounds really amazing and creative. Even before I adopted a vegan diet I believed the mark of a good chef is the ability to create an amazing meal out of vegetables without relying on meat, broth and butter. I can’t wait.
